A storyboard artist (sometimes also called a story artist or visualizer) creates storyboards (or shooting boards) for advertising agencies and film or television productions. They help brands and creatives visualize their final product before they even pick up a camera. Usually, these are rougher black-and-white drawings with arrows indicating camera movements, but they can also be colorized and feature product details as is the case in many of Tanya's boards. Tanya has a wide variety of projects in her impressive portfolio, but the Starbucks campaign shown here was an especially fun one to work on: "I loved working on 2021's Starbuck's holiday commercials, especially getting in as much glitter and sparkles as possible to really sell the festive magic of the season," says Tanya. "As with all projects, time is of the essence but I'm happy with how close the boards came to the final shots." As you'll see in the side-by-sides, the boards clearly informed the shoot almost to a T, and most importantly, feature glitter and sparkles galore.
