Tom is an award-winning commercial photographer, specializing in lifestyle and portraiture. Though he is mainly based in LA, Central Florida, and NY now, he grew up in a dead steel city in eastern Ohio. In April 2001, he signed up to join the military and spent time in Kuwait. His experiences there, sparked a curiosity for what makes us human, and how we can get as close to truth as possible, which can be felt in all of his work. His portraits feel honest and intimate, and they cast a light on the unique characters and stories that are shaping our future. He photographs everyone from politicians, to celebrities, to prison inmates, always with the goal to reveal the commonalities between us all. "My work is all about finding that thread that connects us as human beings," Tom says. "Whether I’m photographing a former president or an inmate in prison, there’s a moment that can be evoked that will unite to viewer and the subject.
