KidSuper, the creative artist collective founded by Colm Dillane, is a brand driven by the desire to create a "fantasy factory, utopia, castle, and playhouse,” as Colm puts it. "KidSuper came from those childhood memories of when you ran around in your underwear with a homemade cape, convinced that you had superpowers and nothing and no one could tell you otherwise."
Next to Dillane is Adham Foda, a close friend and creative technologist who brings KidSuper’s imaginative creations into the digital realm. Director Sam Sulam collaborated with HYPEBEAST to watch their creative process unfold, aided by Samsung Galaxy Z Flip3 5G and Galaxy Z Fold3 5G. "The most exciting part of this was to work with such vibrant subjects as Colm and Adham of KidSuper," says Sam. "Both were charming and fun to be around, which made shooting a breeze."
While Foda generates digital content for the brand, Dillane can be seen painting, drawing, sewing, or making other physical manifestations of KidSuper. Their unique dichotomy is clearly evident in the behind-the-scenes piece, in which Sam mirrors their innovative energy with poppy graphics, vibrant colors, and creative camera angles. The spot itself feels like a merrymaking dive into KidSuper's own fantasy factory playhouse.
